It’s an exhilarating time for the City of Centerville as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, and what better way to cheers to a half century than to enjoy the annual Hometown Holiday Walk sponsored by the Centerville Washington History and the Heart of Centerville organizations.
Family-friendly, free and open to the public, this community event features horse and carriage rides, vocal performances from local choral groups, shopping and discounts, food and beverages, visits with Santa, nostalgic displays of past holiday decorations, a tree lighting and more. It’s the perfect excuse to get a jumpstart on your holiday gift list, spend quality time with family and friends, and revel in the rich history and beauty of the holiday season right here in our charming hometown. This year is even more compelling since the annual holiday walk coincides with the city’s big milestone. It is a sensational way to celebrate our extraordinary town and the official date that Centerville transitioned from a village to a city, December 2nd 1968. It has been 50 years filled with progress and excitement. Join us this Sunday, December 2nd from 1-5PM in downtown Centerville!
